THE MANIFESTO OF QUEST AND CHANGE

You are probably getting refreshed from this New Year celebration routine, no matter the type, so now may be a great time to share few words with you that may or may not help you define who you are and where you wanna go…

You are already guessing – I will be talking about New Year resolutions.

To be honest, I am not a big fan of New Year resolutions. The term resolution somehow sounds too formal, too rigid, a term that may force us to understand it deadly serious so that after few weeks we catch ourselves again deviating from what we have written on that piece of paper. If you ask me, the term resolution always associates me to United Nations, an organization that frequently deviates from its annual goals and promises.

Therefore I prefer to refer my self to something that is called Manifesto – Less formal framework for all of us that don’t want to condition ourselves exactly like robots, that are not afraid to deviate temporarily from what we have written and to make a mistake, but also for all of us that are not afraid to come back and review what is being written, to face the deviation and to correct ourselves.

That is the beauty of a Manifesto. It allows us to be humans with all our beauty and imperfection and allows us to come back and review it throughout the year if we feel the need for positive change. Reviewing and changing our personal manifest is simultaneously our personal review and change. People that are capable of changing themselves are the most stable people you will ever have in your life.

Let’s cut it short – This is your Manifesto of Quest and Change

  • I will give more. I will give without waiting to receive. Request to receive may follow later or  may not follow at all
  • I will do more. I will do more without waiting for something in return, maybe without the knowledge of the person that is supposed to receive the result of my doing. Sacrifice is one of the divine abilities. The person that truly sacrifice himself doesn’t even see his act as sacrifice. For him it is just another act of love.
  •  I will read more. I will read more in order to understand more and to judge less. The society that surrounds me is artificial and condition my beliefs and attitudes,  making me forget that the Universal Truth is entirely different. Reading makes me humble and recognize that I am still not able to understand everything, but at least I am trying.
  •  I will write more. I will write in order to learn to conduct a dialogue on a different spiritual level, I will write in order to change myself, I will write in order to discover my own vulnerability  and to show the world that I am not afraid of who I am.  I will write to inspire others embrace their gift. Blog, book or magazine – I will write and my words will flood the world.
  • I will learn a new skill. Writing, programming, playing musical instrument – I will upgrade myself  and re-craft the old wisdom
  • I will be more grateful. I will learn to say thanks to the small things, and to all those who gifted me their act of attention. Gratitude is like a prayer – we pray for the good of everything we have so that we receive even more of it. Through gratitude we release ourselves from the eternal cycle of Hope-Expectation-Disappointment and we open ourselves for the Master plan.
  •  I will fight. I will fight not for fulfilling the wishes of my limited mind, but instead, I will fight for others, for their justice and fulfillment. I will stand in front of the afflicted with my body as shield and my spirit as spеаr and if I get hurt, my cry will finally awake thousands of others.
